Even the most minor flaws with your teeth can leave you feeling self-conscious about smiling.

Composite bonding is an increasingly popular treatment that addresses issues such as cracks, worn teeth, irregularities in the shape of teeth and minor misalignment to produce a highly authentic and beautiful result.

What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding can generally be performed in one appointment and involves your dentist applying a layer of composite resin to your tooth. The resin is sculpted into the desired shape, and cracks, chips and stains can be eliminated.

How is composite bonding performed?

  • We will ask you what you wish to improve about your tooth or teeth through the composite bonding process and create a tailored plan to achieve this.
  • The tooth is prepared so the resin can be applied. No drilling is usually required.
  • The resin is gradually applied and sculpted to the tooth
  • The tooth is hardened with a special light.
  • The bonding is polished.

Why will composite bonding benefit me?

  • Your tooth will be shaped to fit in seamlessly amongst your existing teeth.
  • Treatment is carried out with your expectations in mind.
  • It only takes one visit to complete. A further visit is sometimes required for a review and polish of the composite bonding
  • It produces a highly authentic aesthetic result.
  • No anaesthetic is required if the patient wishes.
